What about the gift of a traditional craft workshop? Shropshire Weavers can teach you how to dye wool using natural plant materials.  This is a comprehensive 3-day course so by the end of it the participants should have a good understanding of using dye materials and appropriate mordants as well as have samples to take away with them.  Use plants from the Shropshire Weavers garden and hedgerow as well as indigo. The cost is £250 per person and takes place on 24, 25, 26 April!
