We are super excited to announce the launch of the first ever Buy-From Shropshire recipe book. As champions of the amazing food and drink provenance in the county, making this happen seemed a perfect step to take.

All proceeds from the book will be donated to The Brain Tumour Charity, a charity which is very close to the hearts of the Buy-From Shropshire team.

So…we have our fabulous producer members to be in the recipes…however, we needed someone to devise the menu and do the cooking! Very quickly, we were on the phone to Mark Harris, Head Chef of The Pheasant at Neenton. Marks ethos is to make exciting dishes using local produce and he says “the county of Shropshire is blessed with some of the most talented farmers and producers, it’s a pleasure to be able to source their products, showcase them and work alongside them every day. I firmly believe that the United Kingdom has the best produce in the world and the recipes in this book will hopefully give a small window into what the pub, Shropshire and the country have to offer.”

Amongst the eleven delicious recipes are Crispy Pork Coated Black Pudding, Lemongrass and Thai King Prawns, Crispy Braised Lamb Shoulder, Cider Poached Hake and Salted Caramel and Hazelnut Fondant.

We can’t wait to try them out for ourselves and to see them recreated in homes across the county and beyond!

The recipe book will be on sale at Ludlow Food Festival at a cost of £4.50.
