Telford, whilst still in the ceremonial county of Shropshire, is now the hub of the unitary authority of Telford and Wrekin which covers a wide area
close to the Staffordshire border and includes many lovely, rural towns and villages. Telford came into being in 1974 as
a New Town and, today, is a modern, bustling centre of activity. It has been a magnet for high tech business and retail outlets and now
boasts a 25 acre indoor, super regional shopping centre. At the heart of the town is the wonderful Telford Town Park, voted the UK’s best park in 2015.
The park is home to nature trails, fishing pools, cycle ways, floral gardens, Adventure play areas and so much more.
